Over the years HAGS SMP have worked with some key UK Social Housing Associations to provide residents with outdoor play areas. These outdoor spaces have proven to be very important for young people and families providing many benefits such as:
How can HAGS SMP help Social Housing Associations?
HAGS SMP provide a free consultation service; spending time at the start of the project, getting everyone “on board” is vital to the success of the project, so we recommend an initial consultation workshop with all interested parties to assist with the community engagement. We also supply materials and support for further consultation with children, residents, action groups and park users.
Free play space bespoke design services; as part of the consultation process, we will produce several draft designs with plan views and 3D visuals until we finally reach consensus to a final design that everyone is happy with. Our designs are free meaning that Housing Associations do not have to worry about or incur any ‘up-front’ costs for these services.
We offer a wide range of play equipment, including the ever-popular, value-driven ‘Essentials’ range, as well as our competitively-priced ‘Early Years’, ‘Young People’, ‘Trail Play’, ‘Natural Elements’ and ‘Sports’ helping Housing Associations’ budgets go further, without any need to compromise on quality or content.
Inclusive Play; All of our play products are designed to give children of all ages the challenge, excitement and learning opportunities which they demand and deserve. This philosophy also extends to those less able children of varying abilities. The Equality Act 2010 (formerly DDA) is actively endorsed by SMP, and we have a wide range of equipment suitable for all users. Please look for the Inclusive ‘play value icon’.
HAGS SMP provides a ‘one-stop-shop’ service; this means that as well as providing the previously mentioned play scheme design services, we also offer funding, consultation, design, costing, UK manufacturing, supply & install, inspection & maintenance and life time support services.
Inspection & Maintenance services; if the responsibility for keeping a safe and secure playground rests with you and not the local authority, SMP offer peace of mind through regular operational & annual inspections of the play space plus repairs if deemed necessary. If capital budget is limited we can make your money go further by full or part playground refurbishments to bring tired play areas back to life!
